Someone Replied STOP
💡 When a contact unsubscribes from automated messages by responding "stop," it triggers a permanent Do Not Disturb (DND) for text messages until the contact resubscribes by replying "start." Including an opt-out message in the first communication is mandatory to maintain compliance. You can still email and call if they opt out of text messages.
🍿 Video Explanation
Someone replied STOP, can I contact them again?
If someone replies STOP, it will set them to DND (do not disturb) for texting (*depending on you account settings, all channels may be turned on for DND)
SMS will be locked on DND while the other channels (email and phone call) are toggle-able.
- This means that you will be able to toggle email and phone call back off of DND and be able to contact someone that way (*For compliance reasons, it is not always advisible to contact someone through other channels like email or calling if they expressed they don’t want to be contacted by you).
How do I text someone who replied "STOP" in the future?
For someone to be contacted again through SMS, the only way you will be able to text them again is if they reply to your GMM number with “START”.
