Use Templates (Snippets)

💡 Tired of typing the same emails and texts over and over? Here's where Templates (Snippets) will come in handy! This guide will show you how to create and use Templates (Snippets) for frequently sent messages within Conversations.

Create the Templates/Snippets

  1. Navigate to the Conversations Tab
  2. Go to Templates (Snippets) from the top menu
    1. Here you will see a list of all saved email and text templates
  3. To Add a New Template, click Add Template (Snippet) and choose the type (email or text)
  4. Add the Title of the Template so you can easily identify it
  5. Compose your text or email
    1. If you want to populate the first name of a contact automatically in a message, use the custom value: {{contact.first_name}}
      1. When building the message, click Custom Values ➝ Contact ➝ First Name to populate this value

  1. When your message is finished, click Save
    1. Once your template is saved, you are able to send it to contacts

Send the Template/Snippet

  1. Go to the Contact or Conversation where you'd like to send the message
  2. In the message box, click the Insert Template icon 📄
    1. Note: If you want to send a text template, make sure you click SMS at the top of the message box. If you'd like to send an email template, make sure you click Email.

  1. Select the Template from the Dropdown and Click Use Template

  1. Once the Template is select, it should appear in the message box

  1. Click Send

Send Templates from the LeadConnector App

  1. Navigate to the Contact or Conversation
  2. Select SMS or Email from the Message box

  1. Click the + icon
  2. Click Template

  1. Select the Template ➝ From there it should populate in the message box

  1. Click Send
