Edit Copy (Verbiage) of Automated Workflows
💡 Want to customize your automated lead nurture messages or email campaigns? We got you! This article will show you how to locate, edit, and customize workflows in GMM including modifying copy/verbiage, adding/deleting new steps, and managing custom values. The video below also shows 2 techniques for how to find the workflow a specific message came from!
🍿 Video Walkthrough
- Find the Text or Email that you'd like to edit ➝ This can primarily be done with Conversations i.e. you coming across an automated message to a contact that you'd like to change
- Click the Vertical Dot icon on the right side of the message
Select Details
- Click Workflow within the Message Details
- Here you will be taken to the Workflow that the automated message came from
- You will need to scroll through the SMS and/or Email Steps to find the message you want to edit
- These will have Green Email or Text icons by them
- Select the SMS or Email Step to Open the Editor
- If you select a text or email you do not want to edit, you can click Cancel at the bottom of the editor
- Within the Editor, you can alter the message however you'd like...
🚨 Be careful not to alter custom values such as {{contact.first_name}}
- Once you've made your edits, Click Save Action
- Save the Workflow
**To preview the message, you can send a Test Email or SMS to yourself
- At the bottom of the editor, you should see the option to send a Test Email or SMS


- Enter your email or phone number in the field and click "Send Test SMS/Email"
- For SMS, make sure you include your country code i.e. for US client, add +1 before your cell phone number
