Send a Voicemail Drop

💡 To send a voicemail drop, create a workflow with an mp3 file and set triggers or create a smart list. For efficient delivery to a large list, add leads to a voicemail drop campaign in drip mode, sending a limited number per hour within a specified time window!

Step 1: Record the voicemail/audio and save it to your computer as an MP3 file

You can use a site such as https://cloudconvert.com/mp3-converter to convert a file to MP3 format

Pro Tip: If you have an iPhone and record it on Voice Memos it will be in m4a format ➝ you will need to upload that filed to cloudcovert (or a similar software) to update it to mp3

Step 2: Create a Workflow

Navigate to Automation ➝ Workflows
Select Create Workflow

Click Start from Scratch

Add Title of the Workflow
1. Example: "Voicemail Drop to Old Leads"

Depending on if you want this to be a one time thing or happen every time XYZ happens, you may or may not need to add a "trigger"

If you want this to send everyone is tagged as XYZ, you will need to add "Contact Tag" as the trigger, Select Tag Added under Filters, Type the appropriate tag, Click Save Trigger

If you are only sending this once (i.e. a bulk voicemail drop to all of your old leads), no trigger is needed*

Type Voicemail in the search action box and select Voicemail as the action

Click Upload file and upload your MP3 file

Once the MP3 File is uploaded, Click Save Action

Click Publish and then Save

If your workflow is based on a trigger (i.e. a tag being added), no further action is needed after you Publish and Save ➝ Every time that tag is added they should be added to the Voicemail drop workflow and receive the voicemail

Step 3 (If you are sending in bulk): Add Contacts to the Workflow

If your workflow is meant to send one-time to a list of contacts, follow these steps.

Go to Contacts and create a Smart List
Click the Robot Icon 🤖 to add them to your workflow

Select your Voicemail Drop Workflow as the Campaign/Workflow
Click Add all at once if your list is less than 100 people

In the Action box type "Add to Voicemail Drop"
Click Add to Campaign/Workflow

Large List of 1000 Contacts +? Send in Drip Mode

if your list is large i.e 1K or more people, you should send in drip mode

Instead of Add all at Once, Select Add in Drip Mode
1. The Batch Quantity should be 100 Repeated Every 1 hour
2. Action is "Add to Voicemail Drop"
3. Enter you desired start time under "Start On"
4. Make sure to set the Time Windows to prevent the VM Drop from going out late at night i.e. 8AM-6PM
Click Add to Campaign/Workflow
